All summer long, birds and other patrons of Firehook Bakery & Coffee House watch grapes ripen slowly on trellises above their heads. Birds nibble on splendid crumbs. Other patrons nibble splendid pastries. In late August, grapes ripen and birds enjoy the harvest. Most other patrons are too polite to do that.
